Your driver will meet you at the dock and take you for the 60-minute drive to Florence, through countryside lush with vineyards and olive orchards. Your first stop will be an overview of the town from Piazzale Michelangelo, on the top of the hill. Your driver will be happy to take you to any site you choose, and if you would like to visit a museum, we will be happy to arrange advance purchase of tickets (mandatory). Since your driver is not a licensed guide, he cannot enter the museum with you but we can arrange for a guide in advance. You may also intersperse your time in the vehicle with pleasant strolls down cobblestone lanes, through majestic squares and across ancient bridges, pausing along the way to admire the Santa Croce Church, where Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli, and Rossini are all buried, or in the Piazza del Duomo to survey the superb cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the second largest church in the world.
You are now in the middle of the walking area, only five minutes from the best shopping area of the town, the Piazza della Signoria, with Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Museums and Ponte Vecchio, the famous 14th century covered bridge, home of Florence's gold shops! Wander through the fashionable boutiques or sample a bit of Tuscan cuisine.
Remember that the driver is always at your total disposal to show you any place you wish - for example, the Accademia Gallery, home to the original statue of Michelangelo's David, or the huge Pitti Palace, a large, mainly Renaissance palace located on the south side of the Arno river, a short distance from the Ponte Vecchio.
After a pause for lunch on your own (your driver will gladly suggest some favorites!), you might like to do a little leather, gold or clothing shopping near Ponte Vecchio before your driver takes you back to the ship.

It is the birthplace of the Renaissance. The home of the Medici family, Michaelangelo, Dante, Leonardo da Vinci and Galileo. But it’s also a land of treasures of art and architecture. The past merges with the present here, where a 15th century skyline rises over one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Dear Josephine,
We arrived home on Friday with some wonderful memories of all of
Europe, especially Rome with Gianni as our guide and wonderful Angelo on the Amalfi Coast.
They were so warm and friendly we could almost believe that we had known them forever. It was such a wonderful experience for all of us.
Mom said she wishes she knew just how beautiful the countryside was she wouldn't have waited so long to go with us.
I hope we will have the need for your services again.
Thank you,
Christine Orsburn

I visit Italy frequently and each time I have used Italy Limousine. I could not have been more pleased. Rino, the owner and manager, is fantastic and will accommodate all your needs. He delights in showing people the country he loves as do all of his drivers. Every one of them has been prompt, courteous and willing to make detours to show parts of Italy that most tourists never see. The prices are also quite affordable. Whether it's an airport transfer or a day trip to explore a region, Italy Limousine has always provided outstanding service and made my trip a little more special.
