National Archaeological Museum of Naples

This tour will take you to the most interesting places in Naples. You'll pass by the imposing Castle called "Maschio Angioino", which was built 700 years ago by Carlo d'Anjou and later became the luxurious residence of kings and viceroys. You'll see the San Carlo Theatre (one of the most beautiful in Europe) and the Galleria Umberto I from outside in the square. Crossing Piazza del Plebiscito, you will admire the Palazzo Reale and the Church of San Francesco da Paola. Then you'll drive along the picturesque Riviera de Chiaia, which passes Villa Pignatelli, while heading for Posillipo, the scenic hill of Naples. Your tour include a visit to the National Archaeological Museum, site to one of the most comprehensive collections of Greek and Roman antiquities in the world. You will see statues of Roman copies of the Greek originals such as Adonis, the mighty Farnese Hercules, and the Farnese Flora during your guided tour. Pictured here is the semi-nude, exquisite representation of Aphrodite, known as Venus Callipige, admiring her own beauty.At the end, you will return through Via Caracciolo and have free time before returning to the ship.

OUR VISIT TO THE AMALFI COAST WAS MADE MEMORABLE BY OUR FRIENDLY, THOUGHTFUL DRIVER MARIO. MY KIDS AND HUSBAND AND MYSELF FELT AS IF WE HAD KNOWN HIM FOR YEARS. HE WAS SO GRACIOUS THAT WHEN THE DAY ENDED WE FELT AS IF WE WERE LEAVING A GREAT FRIEND BEHIND. OUR FINAL STOP WITH MARIO WAS TO A BAKERY IN NAPLES WHERE HE PROCEDED TO TREAT US TO SFOGLIATELLE NAPOLITANE, WHICH WERE "DELIZIOSI". MY LOVE OF ITALY WAS ONLY MAGNIFIED GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL WITH YOUR DRIVERS EXPERTISE AND SEE SIGHTS THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE SEEN OTHERWISE. Dear Josephine.
We only had one week for our first trip to Italy, and friends told us we\'d never squeeze in everything we wanted; you helped us prove them all wrong, for with your car service we packed in a lot (Florence, 2 days; Tuscany countryside, 1 day; Rome, 3 days; and Pompeii-Sorrento-Positano, 1 day) and didn\'t feel rushed in the least. Our good experience began with our email correspondence with you and your helpful advice (and patience, as we kept changing our plans). Letting your service handle all transfers and excursions meant that we could use our limited time as efficiently as possible and still be able to relax or just wander and get the feel of two of Italy\'s most wonderful cities. And we especially appreciated the flexibility to modify and even help create our itinerary. Our driver, Carlo, was a gem: patient; kind; very knowledgeable; excellent English; a perfect gentleman. His suggestions (for example, to see Monterigioni in Tuscany; to visit one of the Brunello wineries near Montalcino; to eat at Delfino in Sorrento just to name a few) were wonderful, and he taught and explained so much (such as the contrade in Siena, the Greek and Saracen roots in Positano). Carlo even reserved for us a timed entry at the Accademia in Florence. We know we couldn\'t have done all we did without your service, and suspect we couldn\'t have done it as well with any other service. We will definitely use you again when we return (which we will, if the Fontana di Trevi thing works), and we have already referred several potential clients.
